Here you will get a sense of what I have been doing for the last some years. My core competencies, my bread-and-butter work, my creative pursuits, my branching out into related but varied activities and projects. It’s all here in one place in the sections of this website.

If you put my name (spelt with a Go and not Ga) on the Net, 100s of sites open up, and you may wonder how many hats I’ve worn. But it is all part of the work (and play) that has become my pehechan – my profile.  All the things that I do fit like a jig-saw into a composite whole. Connected but distinct, in the world of words: writing, story-telling, and teaching the art, craft, and commerce of it all; and my counselling work.  It is a sense of all of this that you will find in the pages that follow.

A word of warning: many of my gen (Boomers?) have not been big on visually documenting our working lives, our high points, our milestones. Our printed output has been the proof of our existence in the creative world. Selfies and professional photographers, not-so-much. So do excuse the rather candid and casual pictures that you may encounter, of even special occasions in my work life!

I read Gouri Dange’s debut novel, 3, Zakia Mansion, with a growing sense of participation, getting attached to its characters, worrying for them, laughing with them and at times despairing for them. I began reading it late one night, and I finished by daybreak, regretting that the book had come to an end
